Corporate Video/CD on Solaris Network![]() |
The Challenge
Develop a communications tool that will introduce
and discuss the various medical services Solaris
provides to their service areas. The video/CD
must be multifunctional to serve not only their
external marketing needs but also as a
promotions tool to work in conjunction with
Solaris' ongoing internal communications,
recruiting campaigns, new employee orientation,
and fundraising efforts.The A&R Solution
A&R proposed the development of a ten-minute
film that would meet all of the programs'
objectives. The agency developed a working
script in concert with the client's PR staff.
Storyboarding the script provided a visual
representation of the entire Medical Network
including: All Critical Care Departments,
Rehabilitation Units, Nursing and Assisted
Living Centers, and Affiliated Health Centers.
Upon approval, the agency developed and
executed a production schedule to shoot all
footage with as little interference within the
specific medical environments as possible.A&R recommended that the project be shot on 35mm film rather than videotape to achieve the highest reproduction quality possible. While appearing seamless, the film was edited to contain a strategic break where additional footage, or presentation materials, such as department specific PowerPoint presentations, could be inserted. A Nursing Recruitment presentation, for example, could use the film as an introduction to Solaris, insert its own specific presentation program, and close using the films ending sequence, featuring a message from the CEO. The final film was edited and scored for music and then mastered to create a final version converted to videotape. The film was also converted into a CD format. Results
Response from Solaris senior management, and
internal departmental managers was
overwhelming and is now being reviewed for
re-editing and repackaging for a number of
other Health System promotions. |
